About this Experience
The Official Tour of St. Louis Cemetery No. 1 takes you thru the gates, on the winding paths between tombs. The only tour to visit the burial site of New Orleans’ most famous and historical figures, and to show you to the tombs of Voodoo Queen Marie Laveau, Homer Plessy, and more. Meander this noble and intimate setting with a small group, escorted by our specially trained tour guides – the best way to experience St. Louis Cemetery No. 1. Along our guided tour, intimate groups of no more than 20 patrons will be escorted along a path to the most prominent and historic landmarks of any New Orleans cemetery. Up Close views of the magnificently built tombs, completely unique to New Orleans. Our presentation will also feature the architecture, culture of the 18th century. Guests will gain a deeper understanding of the city’s history, told thru the stories of the great men and women who have been laid to rest in this stunning Cemetery.
