About

A local coffee house serves as a caffeinated oasis to start the exploration.

During our time together we'll focus on the lush Garden District and its complex history. Your expert guide will quickly introduce Louisiana history before delving into the specifics of the neighborhood.

Architectural styles and their defining elements will be showcased. Context, inclusive of the slave trade, will be discussed. Major moments in history such as the Louisiana Purchase and the Civil War are also a part of the conversations.

Local burial traditions are a small portion of the overall experience as we stop at the gates of the Lafayette Cemetery #1.

Pop culture references are sprinkled in. Anne Rice and her contributions naturally occupy a portion of this experience. There's also a special stop reserved for the Buckner Mansion, known to fans of American Horror Story as the Miss Robichaux's Academy for Exceptional Young Ladies.
