Let your own "local expert" unravel the mysteries of one of America’s oldest and most unique living neighborhoods!

$27.00 Tuesday - Sunday for 2 Hours

About This Experience

Follow in the footsteps of historic figures as you stroll along the Mighty Mississippi, through the French Market and Jackson Square, and down the banquettes (sidewalks) of quaint streets named for saints and sinners from our European past. Learn about the Creoles on this tour through the original city, founded in 1718 by French explorer Jean-Baptiste Le Moyne, Sieur de Bienville. See the Quarter come to life as your guide explains its secrets and helps you understand all it has to offer - architecture, courtyards, gardens, food, music, and art

Mel was probably the best tour guide I've ever had. Knowledgeable beyond belief and passionate about the history of the city. She was warm and humorous to boot. Almost signed up for the evening ghost tour because she was leading it. And of course, New Orleans is absolutely amazing!

Ken and Judy were excellent tour guides as they relayed important cultural and historic events which made me appreciate New Orleans’ past and present challenges and the hardships of the 4 F's (flood, fire, fever, and Formosa termites). Thanks for the history lessons.

As a local, I was not sure that I would get much out of this French Quarter walking tour but I was so wrong. It was wonderful! Our tour guide, Julie, was fantastic. Her enthusiasm was contagious and she had a wealth of information that kept everyone interested and entertained. Great day! Highly recommend for visitors to the city as well as locals.
