So we had a little bit of an issue at the start, as our guide actually left without us. There were two boats going at the same time, and for some reason our guide didn't call out or count heads or anything and left our group of nine behind. Not sure how that happened, but I think we ended up better off because our guide was excellent! We had a young guy, I can't remember his name but he was so good. He called the alligators by name and they followed right behind the boat until he pulled it around to feed them. He got out on a little stand and got the gators to jump out of the water to eat chicken, and he was touching them and petting them. After feeding the gators for a while, we found out that he brought some animals on the ship. He had a bucket with some tiny turtles in it, a snake, and a little alligator! It was so fun, and we always felt safe. We even had two little ones with us (1-2 years old) and they loved it and we never worried about them being safe enough. We had such a great time with our wonderful guide!

It was a great tour, the guide was nice and the boat was comfortable. We saw many alligators, some raccoons, one dear and some turtles. I don't like the fact that they feed the alligators to help the tourist to see them, but I guess all operators do that.

I thought this was going to be a tourist trap, but my brother and I ended up enjoying the whole thing. Brandon is widely educated about the animals and plant varieties in Louisiana. He answered every question we threw at him with gusto. Our time on the swamp was very interactive and informative. I highly recommend!

Our tour guide was excellent. The whole tour was educational and entertaining. What was surprising was how clean it was and no mosquitos! I learned a lot about alligators and other swamp wild life. We saw quite a good number of alligators and some huge grasshoppers. I would definitely do this again.

I have taken the tour several times and I must say that these guys know their stuff! Each captain has his own "flavor." With that being said, you can't go wrong with any of those guys! The tour lasts around a hour and a half. The boat is a covered top, flat bottom boat, that travels a slow pace as you navigate through the breath taking moss draped cypress bayous. The family and I spotted out tons of swamp life along our boat ride. Gators galore!!! This is a MUST DO for any age person!!!
